John was recommended to me and we couldn't be happier with the experience we had. We felt comfortable and had a great time during our maternity shoot. We received the pictures back super fast and can't wait to do another session with our little one.

I booked a family photo session with John as a Christmas present for my parents as we were going to be in Tucson for a week. John was very helpful and flexible with us when the weather wasn't cooperating (it was windy) and found a great alternative location. We had a lot of fun taking the pictures and John made us all feel very comfortable, including our one year old son and our small dog. The pictures turned out beautifully and I will treasure them for years to come! Also, the turn-around time on getting our pictures was incredibly fast. I would highly recommend John and if we are ever back in the area I would book with him again!

Our daughter and son-in-law gifted us a family photo shoot with John for our upcoming visit to Tucson. It was the perfect Christmas present! John worked with all of us to get every conceivable grouping of family members together, including a dog. He even managed to get our somewhat-cranky one year old grandson to smile by jangling his keys. We love the photos and enjoyed meeting John who was a pleasure to work with.

I was amazed how John captured such beautiful detailed images of our daughter, spending extra time with each pose causing him to going over our 1 hour photo session. He was so helpful, friendly…and quick! After telling him what I needed done, he took a quick look at the photo and told me he would send me back a proof in 1 hour. He delivered and the results exceeded my expectations AND at a fair price. Such a great local Tucon find!!

JW Photography was amazing. Everything was great!! He showed up on time and started shooting right away! He was great at directing us how to pose. He also had great knowledge of the venue and which shots to get, that was very helpful. He helped wrangle all the family members to stay on time for the day. My husband and I met John at the Bridal expo, and there were tons of other photographers there, but we picked John. John was more friendly and personable than the others, and very easy to talk to, but when we saw his work, we were impressed and booked with him immediately to do our engagement photos and wedding photos. John has been so delightful to work with for the past year, beyond creative, and talented at what he does, anything you invasion for a photo he will make it happen for you! For both engagement and wedding photos, he was prepared no matter what, with no complaints! I say this because my husband and I took our engagement photos out in the desert, and John was a great sport and hiked with us to the trail where my husband and I like to hike. The day of the wedding John was wonderful, he was right on time at the salon where my brides’ maids and I were getting ready at and got some great shots of everyone, then he went to the church to get photos of my husband and his grooms’ men, it was a long day for everyone, but John’s timeline and suggestions made the day run so smooth for all, and I am so grateful for that. Please book with him, you will not regret it, he is so easy to work with, responsive and cares. Someday, when my husband and I have children, we will book with John for Family photos. After the photos came in, I was stunned with just how amazing John captured these moments, but also the quality of the pictures were amazing. John did an incredible job taking my daughter's senior pictures. The quality and variety of pictures and backgrounds he was able to capture was wonderful. He was able to retouch photos to remove blemishes and did everything in such a short amount of time we were able to meet all school deadlines without having to rush any decisions. His fees were also very reasonable when compared to other photographers in the area.

We were married in November 2017 at Old Tucson Studios and this was John's first time photographing a wedding at this venue. John took the time to attend our rehearsal the evening before in order to familiarize himself with the venue, as well as figure out the best locations for photos. Since our ceremony was in the evening and outside, we had very limited daylight to work with but you'd never know because, due to his expertise, our photos came out fabulous even with the limited lighting that John had to work with!
